ok so i figured out what i wanted to say.
first-> i'm excited - i fit into my own jeans. not anyone elses hand me downs but my own jeans. ok in reality they are a little tight but i can get them on and button them. so yay!
second-> my job is stupid. i dont know if i have ranted about this or not. so if i have im sorry if not well then bear with me.
ever hear the statement - the only thing that is constant is change?
or as soon as you get comfy with something. everything gets turned upside down?
anyway my job is stupid.
they have changed my schedule.
i have been on leave since feb and i go back to work on the 26th of april.
i have no idea what schedule i will be working - or where i will be working.
a lot has changed in the last 3 mos. its a little irritating.
i have three viable options.
-1- stay in operations and work a weekly rotating shift.
which is essentially work one week of each shift. - its over 5 weeks.
so one week i will work nights one week of evenings one week of days and
one week off and a week where i work 4 days and the weekend.
this is not a bad option. but where i am going to find a daycare that will take care of her for 3 weeks out of 5 weeks?
also it would be hard on josh and silver. personally it wouldnt bother me.
-2-move to the helpdesk and just work weekends
this is ok too but the money would be a little less than i need to pay bills and i would need to work a second job to make ends meet. however i do have a second job that will allow me to bring silver
so i still wouldnt need daycare.
oh and i need to interview for the job - the same job that i have been doing since last may. how silly is that? oh well.
-3-i have applied for another position within the company.
this is a good option as it would be a raise and M-F 8a-5p and i would be able to afford daycare at work so i would be able to stop in and see silver. i would also get my weekends and evenings back so i could be a social person again:)
the other option is took look for another job but this isnt really a viable option.
tomorrow i visit with the family. this will be my family's first meeting of silver besides my mom and dad and my aunt and uncle and my cousin.
so it will be very tiring. silver gets to meet her great grandma and all of her cousins and everyone.
it should be interesting.
ok time to go watch movies....:)

It's so complex being a woman. The man, he goes to work. It's a given, for the most part. The woman is always fraught with work v. homeandkids.
I've fought with all this too. Good day care costs so much here that I'd have to get either a really highpaying part time job (call-girl?) or a full time gig, which I would like to avoid until the wee one goes to school.
I don't know if I'm going to be able to do that financially.
I give you a lot of credit and I hope something really good opens up for you and your family. That little one of yours must be such a joy to you.
All the luck in the world, sweetie. It's tough. It's tough doing the job thing without a child to worry about. With one... ugh. I intend to get childcare in advance, his name is B. :D The price he'll pay for having a sugar-mama.
