Stupid Car dealerships

***WARNING***RANT FOLLOWS-

i had a taillight//turn signal out yesterday. a nice other driver told me about it.
so i stopped to get gas and while the car was filling up i tried to figure out how to get the taillight off.
couldnt figure it out.
so i consulted the manual - still couldnt figure it out.
so on my way up to newark i called the dealership figuring i could stop by and someone could show me or someone could tell me how to do it over the phone.
well i call up and the receptionist answers - i ask for the service desk and she says they are on the phone can i leave a message.
so i tell her my issue about how i can figure out -how to get the taillight off and i need to replace the bulb could she if someone could tell me how to do it.
so she puts me on hold. and comes back and says i will need to bring it in but all the techs are booked for the day.
i say ok is there someone who can tell me how to do it because i can do it i just need some help.
she puts me on hold again and then i get another lady (this one sounds older)
and we are talking and she says i will need to make an appt to bring it in and have them do it for me -
i ask cant i do it?
and she asks me if I have a male friend who i can ask to do it for me.
so i ask why? is it a strength thing is hard to pry apart or do i need leverage?
and she says no but it needs to be disassembled
i ask so why i cant i do it?
she says well there is a lot of confusing wiring and stuff
-me livid trying not to scream or run off the road at this point says you know what i will ask my husband and if i need to make an appt i will call you back
she says we think thats for the best.
i hang up the phone (cant slam down the receiver on my cell phone)

ok so at this point i am PO'd beyond reason
i call josh to vent
and then realize i am almost thru smyrna.
i will stop at autozone and they can help me.

so i get them to help me and show me what to do.
the girl behind the counter has the first part figured out in 10 seconds- 5 minutes later her and her coworker and i have thing apart
5 minutes and 5 bucks later i have a new light bulb and i am putting the light back together.

so tell me again why i needed to bring my car into the dealership to have them replace a goddamned light bulb?????
