or have you forgotten?
Its Veterans day.
Yes I am a veteran.
Yes I had to work.
Yes I did my moment of silence and rememberance.
Yes I cried... I always do.
However I forgot.
I forgot to wear my traditional Veterans Day and Memorial Day clothing.
I forgot to get a poppy from the American Legion.
However I do remember.
I remember friends and family that are serving and have served in the military.
I remember those that have been lost and those that have been killed.
I remember those that have been wounded
I remember those that still suffer from wounds that you cannot see.
Please dont ever forget those who have served and dont forget those who are/were POWs MIAs and KIAs.
They will be missed but never forgotten.

IN FLANDERS FIELDS
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
John McCrae

The poppy is now a symbol of soldiers and veterans for it always seemed to grow after battles. If you see the American Legion out selling poppies please buy one.
Thank you.
Happy Veterans Day.
